Research & Academic Links

Newpoint undertakes its own research into procurement and supply chain management activities, but also in conjunction with leading Universities.

Newpoint staff regularly teach on MBA programmes and have a number of research links with Universities. These are outlined below:

University of Birmingham (UK)

Professor Andrew Cox established the first ever MBA in Strategic Procurement Management at Birmingham University Business School in 1993 and retains extensive links with the Centre for Business Strategy and Procurement at the Business School. He is a regular contributor to the MBA programme.

WMG, University of Warwick (UK)

Professor Andrew Cox and Newpoint are involved in supporting research and consulting activities as well as teaching on MSc programmes at WMG, University of Warwick.

University of San Diego (USA)

Newpoint has a global world-class and best-in-class benchmarking and competence development project commencing with the Supply Chain Management Institute at the University of San Diego in early 2009. Andrew Cox is also a Visiting Professor at SCMI.
